I have mixed reactions to this.
The good: it looks like Arrow is going to use his lethal weapon to kill people, rather than strap a boxing glove to the tip of his arrow or whatever idiot thing he does in the comics. This also has a more serious feel than Smallville. Sweet training montage.
The bad: hello, melodramatic voiceover. There are simpler ways to say “I’mma kill me some bad guys.” You do not need to hand-forge your own arrows. And speaking of arrows … I still have a really hard time accepting that Bow and Arrow Man can take out Machine Gun Guy, Bazooka Joe, and Pistol Girl. I don’t care how many tennis balls you murder in your Arrow Hovel.
The problem I have is the quiver! The bow looks cool but the rucksack just feels awkward, no concealment, messes with the superhero transformation secret identity dynamics.
Thomas is it possible to do what he’s doing in the training video, the rachet thing? If so just how?
Hhhmmm very true, let’s see how this plays out. The preview looks kinda cool though. As shallow as this sounds lol, I need to get over the fact of who the actor is first because I disliked his character so much on TVD…keeping my fingers crossed that it’s good!
